+**NOTE:** This version also seems to work on Mac M1 machines, though recent Mac operating system versions seem to be increasingly recalcitrant to independent developers, so you have to use a few tricks when you first start the application (see e.g. https://support.apple.com/de-de/guide/mac-help/mh40616/mac).
